SERVICE INNOVATION & TRANSFORMATION MANAGEMENT

How can we transform labour inclusion of young talent with disabilities?

______

PROBLEM

What does the digital transformation mean for NGOs? How can we use agile techniques to support innovation?
Fakawee collaborated with ESADE Business and Law School and the Chavarri Foundation in order to create and facilitate an introductory design thinking workshop for more than 50 participants from diverse NGOs and foundations.
The objective was to provide an introduction to the design thinking process in order to demonstrate the value of using the methodology in the third sector.

APPROACH

10 Teams of NGOs from various sectors participated in presential workshops. Teams worked together to provide a solution to a tough challenge that they face in the digital transformation of the third sector. They explored the problem from the perspective of the user and experimented with different ideas to solve the problem.
Some of the challenges that the teams worked on include:

  • How might we motivate teams to work collaboratively through new channels?
  • How might we improve internal communication between different departments to motivate employees?
  • How can we implement digital improvements in our daily work in a more efficient and “friendly” manner?

OUTCOME

Each team member created an initial solution (in the format of a 3 panel sketch). More than 50 initial solutions were created in the workshop.
Finally each of the 10 teams presented a solution to the problem.
