PROBLEM
- What does digital transformation mean for the public sector? How can we use agile techniques to support innovation in the public sector?
- Fakawee collaborated with ESADE Business & Law School in order to create and facilitate an introduction to Design Thinking for a diverse group from more than 20 municipalities and public organisations.
- The objective was to provide an introduction to the Design Thinking process in order to demonstrate the value of using the methodology in the public sector.
APPROACH
5 Multi-disciplinary teams from different municipalities and public organisations participated in a 1 day workshop.
The teams identified a problem that they face in the digital transformation of the public sector. They explored the problem from the perspective of the user and experimented with different ideas to solve the problem.
The challenges selected:
- How can we support innovation in the public sector and, thereby, provide better services to citizens?
- How can we create more multidisciplinary collaboration in order to generate more public value?
- How can we modify job offers (working conditions) in order to attract talent?
- How can we reform the education system to boost the creative talent of teachers?
OUTCOME
Each team created a solution in the format of a Solution Sketch. Teams selected and shared their favourite solutions with the group.
