How can we apply design thinking in diverse organisations and multi-cultural teams?

PROBLEM

The University of Stellenbosch Business School and ESADE Business & Law School wished to create an interactive online design thinking and innovation workshop.

APPROACH

• Professionals from diverse sectors participated in a discovery eWorkshop.
• Five teams worked online using the collaborative tool, Miro.
• The workshop was based on the Google Sprint and Design Thinking method.
• During the workshop each team worked on a different challenge that they have had to confront while working from home during COVID.
• Teams learnt the Design Thinking process and applied it in order to solve the challenge.

OUTCOME

Each team created an initial solution. Five final solutions where shared online. Participants learnt how to use
Miro as an online collaborative tool.
