PROBLEM

How can we use Design Thinking to help us to understand and solve tough problems which impact our personal and professional lives?

The prestigious university Externado de Colombia in Bogotá, together with the ESADE Business & Law School, wanted to provide an immersive online learning experience to professionals who have not used Design Thinking before.

The objective was to help a diverse group of 128 professionals to learn and apply Design Thinking in an online workshop.

APPROACH

16 Multi-disciplinary teams collaborated online in a 4 Days Design Thinking eWorkshop. The workshop was developed and facilitated by Fakawee.
Each team worked on solving one challenge:

  • Emotional Health of people working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Climate change and global warming.
  • Diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
  • Healthy eating habits for families.

Teams learnt the Design Thinking process and applied it in order to solve the challenge.
Fakawee facilitated the ideation, prototyping, user test and iteration process.

OUTCOME

Each team created a solution.
16 solutions were created and shared online.
Participants learnt the methodology as well as working in a collaborative online tool, Miro, in a multi-disciplinary team.
