PROBLEM

The ocean is in trouble. Only 4% of the ocean is protected and a 5th of the world’s natural reefs have disappeared. Global warming, pollution, coral bleaching and reef disappearance…these are some of the major challenges. What can we do?

Underwater Gardens designs networks of structures that create optimal conditions for reefs and marine life to thrive. Their vision is to regenerate ocean life through combining technology, education, science and tourism.

The client’s challenge was to convert their concept and technology into a sustainable business.

APPROACH

• Fakawee and our partner worked closely with the client’s team of architects, engineers and marine biologists in order to understand the technology and concept.
• We held a LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY ® method workshop to align the vision, conducted a detailed market study and defined key target segments. In collaboration with the client, we refined the customer experiences.

OUTCOME

• Fakawee and our partner prepared the Business Plan and documentation required to present the project to partners and stakeholders from the private and public sector.
• We also supported the client in international technology competition for startups with major environmental impact.
